This module aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies in management and leadership. This will enable students to professionally lead and manage their projects or businesses strategically and operationally.

This module seeks to equip students with competencies relevant to conducting research, with a focus on pharmaceuticals and vaccine manufacturing, quality assurance, and quality control within manufacturing plants and regulatory settings. Thus, it aims to equip learners with the knowledge and practical skills required in conducting quantitative and qualitative research, ethical issues in research, scientific writing, and publication.

Brief description of the module:

This module focuses on the understanding and application of quantitative and qualitative research methods, mixed research methods, research ethics and approval processes, research results dissemination as well as the application of biostatistics methods to research data analysis.

This module aims to equip students with advanced competencies and knowledge in the selection, utilization, and recommendation of various analytical techniques employed in pharmaceuticals and biopharmaceuticals analysis. Organized into four units, it covers separative techniques and detectors, including chromatography (TLC, HPTLC, HPLC, GC, UPLC, UPC2, electrophoresis), hyphenated techniques (LC-MS, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, GC-MS/MS), spectroscopic techniques and detectors (UV-Vis, fluorescence, phosphorescence, atomic absorption, emission, ICP, vibration spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, proton and carbon 13 NMR spectroscopy), and biological techniques (microbial count, sterility test, test for pyrogens and endotoxins). The module is designed for flexible learning, acknowledging students' potential time constraints. It incorporates online resources, self-paced sessions, and encourages student interaction through discussion forums. Success in the course depends on dedication, time management, and active participation in forums and workshops, contributing to a comprehensive learning experience.
